The Saints and the Panthers are both out of it, they’re done, so this game doesn’t have a lot of implications except for maybe some draf tpositioning for the Panthers and pride.

The Panthers actually should want to lose to help their draft pick, and New Orleans doesn’t have their first-round pick, so maybe they’ll want to win this game just for fun. I’ll be honest with you, nobody really knows what’s going to happen in weird meaningless Week 18 games, but I have a perfect gambling strategy. Let’s just take three anytime touchdown scorers and see what hits. We're just spinning the anytime Touchdown wheel and I think we'll win big.

Best NFL Prop Bets for Panthers vs. Saints

  • Juwan Johnson Anytime TD +330
  • Sam Darnold Anytime TD +650
  • Shi Smith Anytime TD +1000

Juwan Johnson Anytime TD +330

Johnson is dealing with a bit of an injury so maybe wait to bet this until closer to gametime, but if Johnson does go, he’s an excellent red zone threat. He has seven receiving touchdowns on the year and last week had five catches for 62 yards. He’s gotten a lot of targets especially near the goal line as essentially a big bodied receiver with a tight end designation. If he doesn’t go, give Adam Trautman a look as a long shot.

Sam Darnold Anytime TD +650

Darnold has been using his legs much more this season and it’s been a definite advantage for the Panthers. He’s going to want to showcase to Carolina that he’s their starting QB next season and they don’t have to go searching for another guy, and running for a touchdown, maybe even taking a hit to do it, in a meaningless game would show a lot of toughness and heart.

Shi Smith Anytime TD +1000

Smith saw four targets last week and hauled in all of them for 70 yards and a touchdown. He has two touchdowns this season, but he’s seen 40 targets and is a part of this passing game. The Panthers don’t love to throw the ball all over the yard, but they might want to see what they have in Darnold more this game and also see what receivers they’re interested in keeping around.
