New Orleans Saints wide receiver Rashid Shaheed (89) is nearly 5/1 to score an anytime touchdown against a soft Atlanta Falcons pass defense today.

Both the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints are fresh off their bye week and match up this Sunday in Week 15 at the Caesars Superdome for an NFC South divisional showdown at noon CT.

Even with the inconsistencies of the Saints' defense throughout the season, its expected to be a difficult first start for Falcons rookie quarterback Desmond Ridder, as he hopes to keep Atlanta's faint playoff hopes alive.

Here are the latest odds for today from the dome:

BetSided's Reed Wallach broke down his best bets for today's action HERE, but I've got three prop bets to consider as well, including an anytime touchdown scorer play for the Saints that could pay off at just under 5/1 odds!

Best NFL Prop Bets for Falcons vs. Saints

  • Desmond Ridder to Throw an Interception (-138)
  • Andy Dalton OVER 4.5 Rushing Yards (-119)
  • Rashid Shaheed Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+500)

Desmond Ridder to Throw an Interception

The Saints, after being so good a season ago, have forced the fewest interceptions in the league this year. Yet Vegas has heavily juiced the OVER on the Falcons rookie QB to make at least one mistake on the stat sheet this afternoon on the road in New Orleans.

Dennis Allen's defensive schemes have infuriated Tom Brady within the division over the past several years. Now, he gets to throw the kitchen sink at Ridder in his first career start.

Even though Ridder was solid at taking care of the football as a Cincinnati Bearcat, on the road in New Orleans is an entirely different animal. With Atlanta already having trouble scoring of late, and struggling on the road (1-7 SU in their last eight games), I'll back the new quarterback and one of his receivers to have mixed signals at least a few times, leading to a takeaway via interception.

Andy Dalton OVER 4.5 Rushing Yards

Dalton hasn't been shy about taking off when the pocket begins to collapse this season. While he's only cleared this number in two of his past five games, he's rushed a minimum of least twice per game with the exception of the loss to Tampa Bay in Week 13.

Even though Atlanta has been solid in limiting rushing yards vs. quarterbacks this season, they rank 27th in opponent rush play percentage, and 24th in opponent rushing yards/game.

Dalton has gone 20-plus yards in two games this year, and shouldn't have issues getting a handful in his favor on the turf today.

Rashid Shaheed Anytime Touchdown Scorer

Shaheed has only scored once this year, but he comes off his best game of the season two weeks ago and it's as if everyone forgot about his performance post-bye week.

Agains Tampa, he was on the field 36 of 59 snaps, catching all four of his targets for 75 yards. Over the past two games, he's averaging just under 23 yards per reception, and showcasing another big play threat to help take some pressure of fellow rookie Chris Olave.

Atlanta is not a good team against the pass this season; ranking 25th in opponent completion percentage, 29th in yards/pass, and 27th in opponent pass yards/game. The number for Shaheed offers too much value this week not to throw a dart at it.
