LSU DT Jordan Jefferson
The Saints are always bolstering the trenches, and defensive tackle is worth another swing this year after the Jordan Jackson sixth-round pick in 2023 didn't work out.
After doing well enough to secure a pair of edge-rushers in Cameron Jordan and Chase Young, the interior needs someone alongside 2023 first-rounder Bryan Bresee. Jordan Jefferson is quick on the draw, can eat up space at 315 pounds despite his 6-2 frame, and has a fantastic first step. However, his technique needs some work and he can get manhandled if he doesn't strike first.
The Saints have XFL standout Jack Heflin, the formerly-retired John Pensini, and veterans Nathan Shepherd and Khalen Saunders on the roster, but that isn't enough depth. Much like with McCormick, an NFL-caliber diet and exercise routine would make Jefferson stronger while keeping the necessary mass on him.
