Best available players the Saints should target on Day 3 of the 2024 NFL Draft

The 2024 NFL Draft has been exciting for the New Orleans Saints thus far, but more action is on the way for Dennis Allen and Co. After landing offensive tackle Taliese Fuaga and cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry, Saints fans are going to have their eyes on some late-round sleepers for the front office to go after.
Having said that, Rounds 4-7 are always prime spots for teams to land diamonds in the rough. Which positions will New Orleans decide to go after? We'll find out soon enough, but there's one quarterback we have in mind for fans to keep an eye on, plus other college standouts:
Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis
The former Heisman hopeful has seen his NFL draft stock plummet after sustaining a season-ending leg injury. Since he wasn't able to participate in Florida State's bowl game, any of the showcase games or the Combine workouts, his name is one that has fallen to the wayside in a class that appears to be chock-full of interesting quarterback prospects.
He's generally regarded as "undersized," listed at 6-1 and 200 pounds. However, some NFL-level nutrition and fitness regimens could get Travis a little bulkier. Besides, being on the lean side is very conducive to his dual-threat playing style, where he can carve a defense up through the air and on the ground.
He has the arm strength to make most throws and is generally a good decision maker. The Saints could grab him as late as the sixth round, which is extremely low-risk considering the return that Travis could offer. He may spend his NFL career with a clipboard in his hands, but the Saints are in position to benefit from Travis being buried in a headline-capturing quarterback class.
