The New Orleans Saints once again find themselves in a quarterback carousel but this time, it's between Andy Dalton and Jameis Winston. Dalton took over as the starter in Week 4 due to an injury to Winston and while the team has gone 1-1 in Dalton's two starts, they very well could have been 2-0.

Ian Rapoport reported on Sunday morning that if Dalton continues to play well, he could have a stranglehold on the starting job due to the "calming presence" that he's brought to the offense.

Andy Dalton might be the Saints starting QB this year

The Saints went out and signed Dalton to backup Winston in case the guy battled injuries or was inconsistent. Winston played poorly in the first three games of the season so when Dalton was finally inserted into the lineup, it was a breath of fresh air.

We'll see how Dalton performs against his old team, the Bengals, in Week 6 and if he continues to play decently moving forward. If he can keep the Saints in games and not lose them games, there's no reason why the team should give the ball back to Winston.

The NFC is wide open and while the Buccaneers are probably still going to win the NFC South, the Saints could certainly work their way into a Wild Card spot at the very least. If Dalton continues to lead the offense well and keep New Orleans in games, why not stick with him?

What do you think, Saints fans? Should the team continue to stick with Dalton or should they give the ball back to Winston when he's healthy again?
