2. Michael Thomas

The writing appears to be on the wall for Michael Thomas when it comes to his future in New Orleans. The Saints restructured his deal during the end of the regular season and that made it seem all too obvious that the team would be shopping him in the offseason.

Thomas was dominant in the 2019 season and more than deserved the big contract he received from NOLA at the time. The problem was that after he got paid, injuries piled up and Thomas was only on the field for 12 games between 2020 and 2022.

Thomas missed the entire 2021 season and that whole storyline was a dramatic situation in and of itself. He played just three games in 2022 and once he landed on IR, it was pretty clear that New Orleans wouldn't be keeping him around anymore.

Of course wherever Thomas goes, he'll probably be super healthy and go back to being the 2019 Michael Thomas but that's a risk the Saints are going to have to take. He can't be on the roster when the 2023 season kicks off.
