There's nothing quite like the NFL Draft. Sure, other sports have their own draft days but the NFL is king and has turned theirs into a full weekend event. In fact, the event actually goes on much longer as New Orleans Saints fans — and every other fanbase — know.

As soon as the season ends, we start trying to figure out who will be available in each round. Sometimes we even start thinking about the draft even earlier — like as soon as the playoffs are out of the question.

Now with the 2023 NFL Draft just weeks away, we're ready to start getting bold with our predictions.

Saints bold prediction No. 5: Deep threat receiver added on Day 3

Derek Carr might not be considered an elite quarterback but he's someone who has never had a problem airing out the deep ball. He has a couple of options already on the Saints roster that can take the top off the defense with Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed. He also hopes to have Michael Thomas healthy and while he's not a burner, he can still command a lot of attention.

Even with those players on the depth chart, New Orleans could use more help at receiver. This bold prediction is that they add one but wait until day three to make a move.

This class is loaded with talent at a lot of positions, but wideout isn't one of them. For that reason, the Saints should improve the areas of their team where the draft is strong. If they're going to gamble on a receiver, might as well make sure it's a low-risk bet.

Potential picks: Trey Palmer (Nebraska), Derius Davis (TCU), Bryce Ford-Wheaton (West Virginia), Demario Douglas (Liberty)
