The New Orleans Saints are fresh off another disappointing season. They might have finished the 2023 campaign with a winning record but when you consider that the Saints had one of the easiest schedules in the league and had made moves in the offseason to compete, a 9-8 record and no playoff appearance is a disappointment.

With the season in the rearview, let's take a look at five Saints players who can now identify as busts.

Payton Turner

With their first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Saints selected Payton Turner, a defensive end out of Houston. It was a surprising pick then and it continues to be a baffling pick, as Turner has not appeared in more than eight games in a single season.

When Turner is on the field, he plays okay but that's the problem. The best ability is availability and Turner has not been able to deliver on that. In three years, Turner has appeared in 15 games, including two in 2023. This is unacceptable for a first-round pick and Saints fans can safely write him off as a bust.
