1. Las Vegas Raiders could be a landing spot for Jameis Winston

One final team that could offer a starting quarterback job for Jameis Winston is the Las Vegas Raiders. It is likely that the Raiders will cut quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo this offseason. Rookie Aiden O’Connell started a majority of the games for the Raiders for the past season but it’s unclear if the Raiders plan to stick with him or go a different direction. If they go a different direction then Jameis Winston could be a perfect starting quarterback for them.

Similar to the Vikings, the Raiders have offensive weapons that will help Winston succeed. The Raiders have one of the top wide receivers in the league with Davante Adams. In addition, they have an elite running back in Josh Jacobs, though he’s entering free agency, and a very young and promising tight end in Michael Mayer.

Luke Getsy was recently hired as the Raiders offensive coordinator— the Saints were also one of the teams who interviewed him. Most recently, he has worked with the Chicago Bears. Las Vegas’ offense struggled this past year so it will be interesting to see if Getsy could help bring that Las Vegas offensive to new heights.

If the Raiders do end up offering him a starting role, Jameis Winston could be the quarterback to help Getsy out.
