2. RB Jamaal Williams

Another player who could be on the trade block during the NFL Draft is Jamaal Williams. Williams burst onto the scene in the NFL following the 2022 season. In that season, he ran for 1,066 and 17 touchdowns. After this incredible season, Williams signed a contract with New Orleans. Last year, he rushed for only 306 yards and one touchdown in 106 carries. Williams still has plenty of talent but it is unclear his future in New Orleans.

If Jamaal Williams does stay in New Orleans, he will have an impact. It’s just whether the Saints feel like they can get more out of him or a draft pick. New offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, will implement a zone running scheme into their offense. Williams could succeed in this system but it favors the skills of Alvin Kamara and Kendre Miller much more. With both of those players moving above him it could be hard for him to find a workload that he desires.

If the Saints do ship of Williams then they need to invest in the halfback position again. There are plenty of options in the NFL Draft who would be able to fill in. This option is definitely on the table, it is just how much do the Saints value Jamaal Williams going into next year.
