New Orleans Saints fans can start clearing their schedule if they want to start preparing for a trip to Saints training camp. The NFL announced the report dates around the league for each team's veterans and rookies.

The Saints drafted a 9-man rookie class before adding onto the class with undrafted free agents. Both the rookies and veterans will arrive in Metairie on July 22.

Rookies around the NFL arrive at different times, but most veterans arrive around the same day. The Los Angeles Chargers and Detroit Lions kickoff the preseason in the Hall of Fame game, so they're naturally starting training camp earlier than other teams. All other veterans report to training camp between July 21 and Juy 23.

When can fans see the Saints in action?

More than just knowing the team is practicing, fans want to see New Orleans practice.Louisianasports.net's Ross Jackson astutely pointed out the Saints veterans reported for training camp a day before training camp begun last season. Following this method, expect Saints training camp to start on July 23.

Fans won't be able to plan the exact day they'll come to see their favorite team at training camp, but they have strong idea of what the window will be. Kellen Moore has already announced the Saints will be making the trip to University of California at Irvine from Aug 6 to Aug 15. Upon their return, the team will have played two preseason games and will have closed practices.

The window to attend a Saints practice will be a two week span until the Saints narrow that window with the announcement of open practices. The last time New Orleans had open practices was 2023. In that season, open practices were held on July 28, 29 and 31 and Aug 4 to Aug 6.

The first open practice happened just mere days after training camp started and ended a week before the season started. A similar course of action should be expected.
