Mark Ingram is officially a New Orleans Saints Hall of Famer. In reflection, Ingram played with some of the best players to ever put on a Saints jersey in his career. He was a part of the dynamic 2011 team that featured an offense of Drew Brees, Marques Colston, Carl Nicks and Jahri Evans. He was also on the 2018 team with Alvin Kamara, Michael Thomas, Terron Armstead and Ryan Ramczyk.

That's just focusing on the offensive side of the ball. Ingram has played with legendary Saints on the opposite side as well. His time briefly overlapped with Jonathan Vilma and Will Smith. Ingram played with Cam Jordan, Malcolm Jenkins, Demario Davis and Marshon Lattimore among others.

Playing with all of these legendary players could make it difficult to predict who Ingram's favorite teammate would be. Cam Jordan needed that answer, though. He interrupted Ingram's media availability to ask him this question, and Ingram gave an offensive and defensive answer.

Mark Ingram's favorite Saints teammates may surprise you

If I had to guess who Ingram's favorite teammates were it would have been Alvin Kamara or Drew Brees. Ingram and Kamara did joint interviews together after games. It's a synergy you rarely see and haven't seen in New Orleans since. Drew Brees is Drew Brees. No explanation needed.

Jordan took Brees off the table by telling Ingram, "if you say Drew Brees, we're fighting." Ingram froze for a second then answered Terron Armstead because they're going into the Hall of Fame together. That was a safe answer by Ingram, and one that everyone could accept in that moment.

Ingram followed it up by saying, "“my best offensive teammate was Terron. My best defensive teammate Cam J." Jordan and Ingram were drafted together, so it's no real surprise Ingram picked Jordan. It didn't hurt that Jordan was the one answering the question.

The running back concluded with, "you see how I politicked that thing." Great answer and it's that decision making that made him a team Hall of Famer. It does bring up an interesting question of what he would answer if the time was different.
