Miami locked in their ticket to the College Football Playoffs on Thursday night and now await the results from Indiana’s matchup against Oregon. This second matchup is a heavy weight showdown among two of the top Big 10 teams.

New Orleans Saints fans should be paying close attention as there are tons of 2026 NFL Draft prospects playing who could potentially land with the Black and Gold. I’ve already previously covered players from both teams, so Elijah Sarratt and A’Mauri Washington won’t be included.

It’s time to get into two prospects that Saints fans should keep a close eye on during the second College Football Playoff semifinal matchup.

Kenyon Sadiq could give Tyler Shough another long term weapon

Oregon: Kenyon Sadiq

Tight end Kenyon Sadiq is a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses as a receiver. He’s quick enough to outmatch linebackers and strong enough to bully cornerbacks and safeties. Due to this, he totaled 46 receptions, 531 yards, and eight touchdowns in 2025. He’s a projected first round pick that will instantly elevate an NFL offense.

Sadiq isn’t the biggest tight end at 6’3”, 245 LBs, but doesn’t show it. He’s got a dense, muscular build and is strong enough to dominate as a blocker. He was the backup in 2024 but burst onto the scene with his athleticism and usage in Oregon’s offense. Sadiq would be a dynamic weapon for Tyler Shough for the foreseeable future in the Saints offense.

Indiana: Omar Cooper Jr.

Omar Cooper is an underrated receiver prospect for Indiana. He’s behind Elijah Sarratt in the depth chart but has still tallied 61 receptions for 849 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2025. He became a national name after an incredible touchdown catch to give Indiana the lead over Penn State late in the game. Cooper’s a projected day two player who can shine in the slot.

Cooper is dangerous with the ball in his hands. He thrives when given routes over the middle of the field where he’s space after the catch. He’s got amazing vertical speed and has reliable hands. His biggest flaw is his lack of a route tree. Cooper is a good route runner but nothing incredible. Regardless of that, fans should keep an eye on Cooper as a potential day two prospects for the Saints.
