Yes, the New Orleans Saints lost yet another game. Yes, there are plenty of things for them to work on. But one thing is for sure: the running back room in New Orleans had their best performance yet on Sunday. Kendre Miller and Alvin Kamara both had standout performances.

As a team, the Saints gathered 189 rushing yards. Following the game, Kamara would give credit to the offensive line. "It's not even about me or Kendre (Miller). It's really things that our o-line is good at," Kamara said postgame. "We got athletic guys up front that can move. Just getting them doing some things that we're comfortable with doing. I think that's what gave us an edge."

The running game was the main focus of the offense off rip; a no-brainer really, as the Bills had the worst rushing defense heading into the matchup. Starting halfback Kamara took full advantage, looking as clean as can be on his 15 carries for 70 rushing yards. He wasn't alone in his efforts either. Third-year man Miller also had himself a day.

Kendre Miller had his best game in years

Ever since Kellen Moore was hired back in February, he has emphasized that Kendre Miller is on a clean slate. That proved to be 100% the right move, as Miller has been on the up and up throughout the offseason and the first leg of the regular season.

Against the Bills on Sunday, Miller showed off all his hard work in the best game since his rookie year, Miller gathered 65 rushing yards and one touchdown on 11 attempts. That's the second most yards of his career.

On the Monday following the game, Miller said that these past few months have felt good. "Obviously I don't like starting 0-4; I hate losing. But just for me, it's just the right step, just being there with the team this whole time," he told the media.

Kamara wasn't shy about showing just how proud he was of Miller. "He's just been working hard, especially this year. It's a distinct difference in the way he approaches the game. When you get rewarded, it's happy." Kamara said after the game on Sunday. "I mean, he's just great."
