Many people, even head coach Kellen Moore's own kids, are desperate to find out who the starting quarterback will be for the New Orleans Saints. However, that's a decision that the team has yet to make.

The Saints quarterback competition is the only one left in the NFL that's been left undecided. First-year head coach Kellen Moore says that the competition is heading into its last week. "These guys are going to get a ton of reps these next few days, put ourselves in position for the Denver game, and after that we have to start gearing up for the regular season." Moore said to the media.

As of today, Moore has yet to name a starter for the preseason finale against the Denver Broncos, saying that he's excited to let this process play out. "We'll be fine; we have plenty of time," he told the media.

Saints QBs Spencer Rattler and Tyler Shough are neck and neck

Ever since Derek Carr's sudden retirement back in May, Saints quarterbacks Spencer Rattler and Tyler Shough have been competing against each other for the starting job in New Orleans. Three months later, in training camp's final week, the two are nearly indistinguishable.

With one week of training camp left, Shough says that he feels super comfortable in the offense. "Every single day, my biggest goal has been to build that confidence and comfortability with it (the system)." He told the media after the Jacksonville Jaguars game. "The comfortability has grown so much with all of the guys. I've just been having so much fun."

So far this preseason, Shough has completed 24/34 of his passes for 231 yards, one touchdown, and one interception through the first two games, while Rattler has completed 25/35 of his passes for 252 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.

Despite the tight competition, Rattler says that he just tries to control what he can. "I really wanna take it, but we're both trying to do our best. Jake (Haener) is trying to do his best; everybody is trying to be their best," He said to the media. "We wanna go out there and play good ball and get our teammates on our side and lead the guys."
