The New Orleans Saints lost in embarrassing fashion on national TV. The hope walked out of the Superdome before the game was over, and the performance on Monday should only cause the pressure on Kellen Moore's shoulders to increase tenfold.

Following the Falcons' three-play touchdown to start the game off, New Orleans was never quite able to keep the game close, losing by 17 points at half and by 21 points when the final whistle blew. The team once again looked frustratingly unprepared, and they only managed 50 rushing yards through all four quarters. You aren't winning many games like that.

It's like they were listening to too much Blink-182 and needed the lights to be turned off as soon as possible. Now the Saints are 1-3 and officially have had more frustrating moments than good ones on the field. Following all the offseason hype surrounding Moore and the rest of the team, the disappointment has caused the mood in the fanbase, media, and possibly even the locker room to shift for the worse.

Saints HC Kellen Moore needs to adjust his game plan going forward

The pressure can all be traced back to the questionable playcalling, i.e., declining to go for it when the offense is on the Falcons' eight-yard line and kicking a 27-yard field goal instead. That, along with the lack of life in the run game, leads to one clear conclusion (the playcalling). Luckily Moore is already aware that something needs to change.

"Obviously not coaching well enough, not executing it well enough. They came right down the field and scored while we were three-and-out, and we didn't score until the second quarter." Then when asked directly about if there was a change, Moore said to the media, "We've tried a number of different things, and obviously we haven't solved this yet, but we got to find a way."

So far the locker room has signaled that it's on the same page as their head coach, with Moore saying to the media on Tuesday that he saw plenty of players showing up on a scheduled day off. However, that only indicates effort, not execution. The only place that the Saints could see the fruits of their labors here is the football field.

When the Minnesota Vikings come to town, the offense will have to improve at least a little bit of their run game, slow starts, and maybe even rethink their decisions on fourth downs. They can't stay where they are, or else Minnestoa's defensive coordinator Brian Flores is sure to take advantage of them. Hopefully in that game, the Who Dat Nation sees Moore running a tighter ship.

If the issues that happened on Monday keep showing up, Moore might find his seat to be a little warmer than usual. If he wants to keep his job secure and with no question to it, then he'll need to turn it around fast.
