Kellen Moore was the greatest player in Boise State history before he was the head coach of the New Orleans Saints, and Boise State isn't letting us forget it. The latest tribute to Moore is a statue outside of the stadium. It hasn't been built yet, but it was announced the statue is expected to be revealed during the season.

Moore put Boise State on the map nationally, and he became a household name along the way. Moore was the first Bronco in Boise State history to be a Heisman finalist. Along the way, Moore racked up an impressive 50 victories and made the Broncos a mid major powerhouse worthy of being mentioned with larger schools.

Boise State is going all out for Kellen Moore this year

This statue isn't first time Boise State has honored Moore this offseason. He wore No. 11 in college, so they also painted the hashmarks on both 11-yard lines orange in honor of him. It's one of the most unique tributes I've ever seen.

Moore shared this honor with running back Ashton Jeanty. From an outsider's perspective, these are the two players who are the faces of the two best times in Boise State history. Jeanty had a year, and Moore had an era.

Moore isn't sharing any of the praises this time. He's the only one getting a statue, and it's kind of nice to see him get that moment to himself. It's also a more blatant tribute than the hashmarks. There's no mistaking or not realizing what the statue is for. It's also more permanent. Fans will now see Moore walking into the stadium then see him honored again at every 11-yard line.

Moore has seen the hashmarks painted in his honor and a statue revealed in his image at Boise State this year. The only thing left is for the school to change Albertson's Stadium into Kellen Moore Stadium. Other than that, it's hard to find more ways the school could honor the legend. There isn't anyone who deserves it more, and it all happening over the course of a few months makes it sweeter.
