New Orleans Saints head coach Kellen Moore made it a priority this offseason to address the lack of production at wide receiver. The receiver corps struggled to consistently make plays and move the chains in 2025. The Saints made it a clear focus in the 2026 Draft, selecting three receivers to bolster their roster. It all started with Jordyn Tyson.
Many scouts and analysts viewed Tyson as the most talented receiver in the draft class. He had two standout seasons to end his collegiate career, recording 136 receptions, 1,812 yards, and 18 touchdowns.
Now joining Chris Olave and the Saints receiver corps, Tyson possesses all of the tools to fit right in and thrive in Moore’s offense. His ability to impact the game at all levels, gives Moore another potential dynamic weapon.

Moore runs an offensive system that utilizes intermediate routes to create big plays, while valuing speed, versatility, and playmaking ability at the wide receiver position. Throughout his coaching career as an offensive coordinator, has been able to get the most out of the likes of A.J Brown, Devonta Smith, CeeDee Lamb, and Keenan Allen, making those traits obvious in New Orleans.
Tyson possesses the traits to excel in Moore’s offensive system. As an elite route runner at all three levels, Tyson displayed his ability to create separation on short, intermediate, and deep routes on the collegiate level, while constantly winning one on one matchups with his size and speed.
The traits that Tyson carries makes him a dream fit and become the next standout receiver in the long list of Moore’s coaching resume. His versatility allows him to line up anywhere over the field, creating mismatches and opening things up for All-Pro receiver Chris Olave. If he has an instant impact and develops as expected, he could be the missing piece that transforms the Saints offensive passing attack as on of the most lethal in the NFL.
