The New Orleans Saints draft class was seen as a home run by many across the NFL landscape. However, because of the injury history of their first-round pick Jordyn Tyson, some would beg to differ just a little bit.

Just shy of their top marks, the Saints received a B+ by Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox. He just couldn't seem to get past their first-round pick's injury history. "General manager Mickey Loomis made mostly solid picks throughout the draft, though it's impossible to ignore the injury risk that Tyson brings. If he stays healthy as a pro, this could be a foundational class for new-look New Orleans."

However, when healthy, Tyson was arguably one of the best wide receivers in college football. His route running, ability to corral balls, and just overall explosiveness are something that would've had him in the Heisman conversation if he had a fully healthy season.

Saints Jordyn Tyson is pushing to be the healthiest he can be

Jordyn Tyson suffered a number of injuries throughout his college career. First tearing his MCL, ACL, and PCL his freshman year (2022), then a broken collarbone in 2024, and then finally the hamstring strain his senior year.

With injuries like that, it’s no wonder that he has one of the most intense regimens on the Saints. “I’m going to give myself the best opportunity to stay on the field and be as healthy as possible. Ima do everything in the weight room, in nutrition. I’m going to get my own chef, get my massages on the same day every week," Tyson said to the media. “Ima have my regimen down to a tee so that I’m giving myself the best shot possible.”

Quite the plan Tyson has in place, but no one knows more about Jordyn Tyson’s injury history than he does. Furthermore, It shows his commitment and willingness to put in the work that’s required for someone at the NFL level.

Actions speak louder than words, but chances are that Tyson will stay true to his words. If he does what he says, then the Saints should honestly have little to no worries about his injury situation.
