The New Orleans Saints went heavy on the offense in the draft this year. In all the craziness, they might've ended up with one of the steals of the draft, Oscar Delp.

Former Georgia tight end Oscar Delp was a quick riser on the draft boards recently. With only nine touchdowns through four college seasons, he's been a better blocker than a pass catcher. However, interestingly enough, if you watch his highlights and touchdowns, he looks a lot like a former Bulldog and current Las Vegas Raider.

"Even though he's not nearly as well known, he has all the potential to take the NFL by storm and become the next Brock Bowers. He learned everything he knows, after all, from the Raiders standout after sitting behind him," Crissy Froyd of Dawn of the Dog said. "Don't be surprised when Delp suddenly becomes a prominent go-to player no one saw coming... the same way he quietly did so for Georgia."

By selecting Oscar Delp, the Saints changed their TE room for the better

Even if Oscar Delp doesn't become the next Brock Bowers, he's already changing the Saints tight end room by just being himself. By drafting him, New Orleans has officially made that room night and day compared to what it looked like back in February.

Earlier in the offseason, the depth of the tight end room was a real head-scratcher. Foster Moreau was likely on his way out, and Taysom Hill looked to be retiring. That left Juwan Johnson and Moliki Matavao as the top guys on the team heading into free agency.

The singing of Noah Fant changed that, but only slightly. It was a good move, one they were wanting to do for a while, but it lacked umph. They would still need to add another one, especially with the class at hand this year. It couldn't be Juwan Johnson, Noah Fant, and a former seventh-round pick as the Saints' only tight ends heading into minicamp.

New Orleans knew that and were even able to get the guy they wanted. Now, they have a tight end room with some depth and some youth.
