Louis Riddick is best remembered by New Orleans Saints fans as the one analyst who was right about Tyler Shough. After the Saints picked Jordyn Tyson, Riddick brought that same energy to the Saints 2026 first rounder. He labeled Tyson a "problem," and fans can only hope Riddick's streak of being right about Saints picks continues for one more year.

Riddick declared Tyson the best receiver in the draft, and began to lay out the weapons at Kellen Moore and Shough's disposal. When you start to hear Shough, Tyson, Chris Olave, Travis Etienne Jr. altogether, it's hard to not be as excited as Riddick is.

Saints fans can only hope Louis Riddick is as right about Jordyn Tyson as he was about Tyler Shough

There isn't a more documented fan of Tyler Shough's game than Louis Riddick. From the moment the Saints made the pick, he championed it. That's saying something since the pick was largely met with backlash.

Once Shough entered the starting lineup, Riddick's words proved correct. He didn't miss the opportunity to take a victory lap on his analysis either. From Day 1, Riddick was adamant that Shough was the best quarterback in the class. Maybe it was because that point of view was challenged. Whatever the reason, he constantly sung Shough's praises throughout the year.

Now, the Saints went and paired Shough with Riddick's favorite receiver in the draft. At this point, just give him a jersey and call him an honorary fan. Riddick has certainly been a big fan of two of the Saints notable picks over the last season.

If Riddick is right about Tyson like he was right about Shough, the Saints are looking real dangerous moving forward. Shough showed the potential to be a franchise quarterback in his rookie year. Injuries and trades deteriorated his supporting class, yet Shough still excelled. He showed the mobility maneuver in the pocket to avoid traffic and attack on the ground and in the air when things went wrong.

Riddick has been high on Tyson, even through the injury discussions. He urged fans on social media to not forget the Arizona State product "has every single skill/trait you want in a #1 WR." He only added more emphasis on draft night when discussing Tyson's fit with the Saints. If Riddick goes 2/2, as far as the Saints are concerned, Saints fans will be stepping into a new era of offensive explosion.
