We're continuing our countdown to New Orleans Saints kickoff, and we're getting to the point where we're seeing more plays from their lead receiver. The Saints open their season against the Arizona Cardinals in 42 days, and Chris Olave's 42-yard catch is our play of the day.

You can make an argument that this reception is the highlight of Olave's young career. He's had some big games and big moments, but there probably isn't play that made you say, "whoa" like this reception here.

After being shutout for the nearly the first half of the countdown, this is Olave's third appearance. He's only been with the Saints for three seasons, but he's had some big time moments. It would be more surprising to not see him make another appearance.

Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson battle for the best primetime catch

The connection between Olave and his former Ohio State teammate, Garrett Wilson, didn't stop after the duo left Columbus for the NFL. In the beginning of their sophomore campaigns, each player had the highlight catch of the first two weeks.

Ironically, both of the receptions took place on Monday Night Football. Wilson pulled off the first highlight reel reception. He was covered by Tre'Davious White closely at the goal line. When the ball was in flight, Wilson was able to get his right hand out to bat the ball. He then reached out his right arm to pull the ball towards him. Wilson finally corralled the ball with two hands for a touchdown.

Olave came back the next week with an impressive reception of his own. Where Olave bests Wilson is he was deeper downfield. The cornerback was once again in tight coverage. Olave wasn't deterred, however. He couldn't get both hands out at first, but he did reach one hand out. He tapped it up then pulled it in, using a second hand late for security.

Olave hit the ground but survived to bring in a standout moment in Week 2. He immediately jumped up and spiked the ball as it rolled out of bounds. The difficulty level isn't lost on him

These are very similar, yet different catches. Both require a high level of concentration and were juggling receptions. However, they are also different catches that have different appeals.

Olave's catch was a deep shot where he used just one hand while going down to the ground. Wilson looked like a basketball player fighting for a rebound. Do you prefer the one hand snag on a deep shot or the juggling reception in the end zone.
