The Associated Press released their 2025 first and second team All-Pro lists, and New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave was the lone representative from New Orleans. Olave is also the first offensive player in five years to be an All-Pro.
The last offensive player from New Orleans to make an All-Pro team was running back Alvin Kamara in 2020, who was named to the second team himself. You'd have to go back another year to find the last Saints player on offense to make first team.. In that season, wide receiver Michael Thomas and right tackle Ryan Ramczyk were both able to earn the honor.
Any way you look at it, the last time the Saints offense earned a postseason honor was two coaches ago, back when Sean Payton was still the man in charge of things. While the Saints swung and missed on the Dennis Allen hire, they might've struck gold on the Kellen Moore hire.
Under Kellen Moore, the Saints offense is the best it's been in years. But there are still things to work on
There are many reasons as to why the Saints offense was just plain different this year, but the main reason has got to be their new head coach: Kellen Moore. Called an offensive guru when he was brought on, he truly has elevated the offense in New Orleans to a level that hasn't been seen since the Payton era.
What makes what Moore did even more impressive is that we saw him correct his mistakes in real-time. Struggling to not commit any pre-snap penalties and struggling to get anything going in the red zone at the beginning of the year slowly faded to the background as the season went on. However, that's not to say that there are zero improvements to be made.
The scripted drives are something that the Saints have to get better at in 2026. If that's something that Moore can even marginally improve for his sophomore season as a head coach, we might see more than just Chris Olave on an all-pro team next year.
