Heading into week 16, the New Orleans Saints were down to their last few wide receivers, with Chris Olave being the biggest name remaining, and on Sunday against the New York Jets, Olave had the best game of his young career.

Olave was the most targeted player on the team, with 16 targets, and far and away the most targeted wide receiver against the Aaron Glenn-led squad. He caught 10 of the passes for 148 yards and two touchdowns, and really made the Jets defense look silly, getting himself wide open on multiple occasions.

Following the game, he said to the media that he felt that he could've done more. "It feels good, man. I feel like we left a lot of plays out there too." Olave said. "That first touchdown, gotta hold on to that. A couple of those deep balls, I feel like, could've been a lot more. But I'm glad we executed, went out there, and came out with a win."

Saints WR Chris Olave sets a personal record on the way to beating the Jets

On Sunday, Chris Olave also managed to set two personal records: the most receiving yards in one game and the most receiving touchdowns in a season. His 148 receiving yards is just one yard more than his previous record of 147 (which was set his rookie year), but his two touchdown receptions were his seventh and eighth of the season, which pushes him even further away from his previous record of most touchdown receptions in a season (five).

He is also on pace for the best season of his career, with ESPN projecting him to have 1,183 receiving yards and nine touchdowns when the 2025 season is said and done with. Previously, his best season was in 2023, which saw him gather 1,123 receiving yards and five touchdowns. With two weeks left until the end of the season, it's sure to be one of the more interesting storylines to follow.
