Cam Jordan recently secured his place on the New Orleans Saints roster for the 2025 season, signing a new one-year deal with the team. While the veteran defensive end is nearing retirement, he’s committed to giving his all to New Orleans for however long he has left. Part of that commitment is playing general manager on social media.

Jordan, who’s already set up for a post-playing career in media, has always been vocal about how he felt and what the team needs to be better. That was recently displayed on social media, as the veteran gave New Orleans’ front office some a draft suggestion. Reacting to a report that top wide receiver prospect Tetairoa McMillan ran a 4.48 40-yard dash at a private workout for scouts, Jordan imagined the possibility of McMillan playing on the Saints offense.

The veteran defensive end said he’d love to sit in New Orleans’ draft meetings, because adding McMillan to an offense that already has Chris Olave, Rahsid Shaheed, Juwan Johnson, Foster Moreau, and Alvin Kamara would be fire.

It should be noted that majority of scouts timed McMillan in the mid 4.5s, but that doesn’t change that he’ll be a great addition to New Orlean’s offense. He’s a bigger, possession receiver, and that’s something the Saints need, in addition to wide receiver depth in general. He’s the ideal piece to complete a trio with Olave and Shaheed.

Jordan may be in luck, because several draft analysts believe McMillan will actually be the team’s selection with the ninth-overall pick. That’s about the range when he’s expected to come off the board, and considering the need in New Orleans, it’d make a ton of sense if his name was called at No. 9. It’s the draft, though, so anything could happen. The Saints could be tempted to go after a lineman on either side of the ball, or a quarterback could end up sliding to them. Whatever the case, Tetairoa McMillan has to be an option for the Saints.
