Everything is going wrong for the New Orleans Saints right now. The team is losing players to injuries and is also losing football games. Fans have been fed up since the losing streak started back in Week 3, and now, Saints players are visibly just as angry.

As the first half of New Orleans’ Thursday Night Football game came to an end, the Saints trailed the Denver Broncos 16-3. New Orleans got the ball with 16 seconds left in the half, and rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler threw a one-yard pass to the Alvin Kamara in the middle of the field.

After being tackled, Kamara jumped off the ground and was visibly angry as he gestured demonstrably to New Orleans’ sidleine. It’s unclear who he was talking to or what he said, but it was clear he wasn’t happy. It was a noteworthy reaction for arguably the most nonchalant player in the league.

A few players later, after Dennis Allen called a timeout with four seconds left in the half, Rattler was captured on camera saying, “What are we doing?”

It’s a question Saints fans have been asking for a long time.

Alvin Kamara fed up as Saints struggle against Broncos

While it’s unclear why exactly Kamara was upset, he certainly has a lot to be angry about. New Orleans was being dominated by a Denver team that isn’t that good. The offense only helped generate three points, and the defense was getting ran all over. If not for some mishaps from Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix, the score would’ve been worse.

As far as Kamara, specifically, he was confusingly underused in the first half. He had just five carries, for two yards, and was targeted three times, catching all three passes for 12 yards. He’s New Orleans’ best player; he should always have a steady diet of touches. That’s especially the case since Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed are out.

Hopefully, Kamara is able to wake the Saints up, but it doesn’t seem like that’ll be the case.
