It’s officially July, which means the New Orleans Saints’ training camp is right around the corner. Players will report to Metairie, Louisiana, on July 28, and practices will begin on the 29th. Everybody knows that Chase Young, Tyler Shough, Chris Olave, etc., will all be impressive, but there are a lot of underrated players who will be as well.
Every year, unexpected players impress in training camp while vying for a roster spot. This trend will undoubtedly continue in 2026, as the Saints’ youth will drastically increase the number of players who do this. So, don’t be shocked to hear that some new players are making a name for themselves.
Having said that, it’s time to get into five potential breakout stars in training camp.
Zxavian Harris is primed for an excellent training camp.
Zxavian Harris
The Saints signed Zxavian Harris as an undrafted free agent from Ole Miss. So far, he’s been sidelined by a foot injury this offseason; however, he’s expected to be fully healthy for training camp. The massive six-foot-eight, 330-pound defensive tackle has surprising agility and staggering power that will make him unmissable in July. Don’t be surprised to frequently hear his name.
