The New Orleans Saints dropped a heartbreaking loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, and they're looking to get back on track against the hated Atlanta Falcons. Any loss to that team would be heartbreaking, regardless of how it happens.
There's a couple of boxes the Saints need to check in order to win this game, and it starts with stopping Bijan Robinson. It'll be challenging due to injuries, but it'll be necessary. The Saints will also need to keep their high flying passing attack airborne.
In addition to the things they need to happen, there's a few things that would greatly benefit the Saints if they went their way. They aren't neccessary for victory, and some may even consider them a stretch. That's why they're bold predictions, and our Who Dat Dish staff has three bold predictions that'll help the Saints secure the victory.
Surprise star for the Saints and a Falcons star get shut down???
New Orleans Saints will be turnover free
Turnovers have been the downfall of the Saints offense this year. Two second half turnovers against the Lions led to a 21 point deficit for the Saints to climb out of, and last week's game slipped out of the Saints' hands afterr four fourth quarter turnovers against the Raiders.
The Saints kept the ball safe in the one game they came out of victorious this year. The Week 2 matchup against the Ravens was also the only game in which New Orleans won the turnover battle. The Saints will both be turnover free and win the turnover battle on Monday night.
The Falcons haven't had much success winning the turnover battle, but they have caught interceptions in two games and didn't turn the ball over with Michael Penix Jr was at the helm last week.If the Saints can change those things, they'll be much closer to a victory.~ Darrion Gray
Bryce Lance has a breakout game
I’ve made this prediction before and it didn’t pan out. However, this feels different. I truly believe this will be the Bryce Lance game and that the rookie will have at least five receptions for 80 yards and a touchdown.
The Falcons have a struggling pass defense, giving up 263 passing yards per game (29th in the league). Additionally, they will heavily focus on guarding Chris Olave, which will leave Bryce Lance in one-on-one situations against depth cornerbacks. From there, his speed and big play threat will be on display, culminating in a career day.~ Drew Collings
Saints shut down Drake London
Even with Drake London’s career game last week in mind, I don’t think the Atlanta Falcons WR1 will get any more than 50 receiving yards, let alone a touchdown this evening. It shouldn’t be that much of a surprise either if the New Orleans Saints defense locks up Drake London, because he’s shown the formula to beat him, and it’s just up to the defense to solve it.
If the Saints defense can manage to put a cap on London, the chances of ending the night with a W will be even higher.~ Molly Bauer
