3 Saints players that are absolute must-haves for fantasy football
By Mason Nunez
Michael Thomas
The 2019 Offensive Player of the Year is now two years removed from a season in which many awarded him the title of being the best wideout in football. Injuries have derailed Thomas’ previous two seasons, limiting him to only seven games in 2020 and stealing his entire 2021 campaign.
Many around the league have begun to speculate whether Thomas will ever be able to return to his elite form. Let me be the first to tell you that Michael Thomas is BACK.
Finally healthy, Thomas has been dominating in training camp and it appears he has not lost a single step since he last lit up the league in 2019. The 29-year-old has yet to put up less than 1,000 receiving yards in a season in which he’s fully healthy which begs the question, “Why is Thomas being drafted so late?”.
There is no concrete answer to that besides the fact that these rankings are based on fear. Michael Thomas is a top-five receiver in this league and he will prove himself once again. With a chip on his shoulder and cannon-armed QB Jameis Winston at the helm, Michael Thomas will shatter current expectations and reclaim his spot as one of the premier wideouts in all of football this season.
