Chris Olave: Starting Wide Receiver

This is the best crop of Saints wide receivers in quite some time and Chris Olave is to thank for that. The team spent the 11th overall pick (and traded up to acquire that pick) on Olave and hope that he can be the weapon over the top that helps make the Saints offense a lethal unit.

During his 2021 season at Ohio State, Olave had 936 yards and 13 touchdowns, proving that he can be a red zone threat for the Buckeyes and hopefully for the Saints as well. After watching plenty of Jameis Winston with the Buccaneers for years, Olave is very much the kind of weapon that the quarterback loves having in his offense.

There’s really no debating what Olave’s role is going to be. He’s the only Saints rookie that we for sure know will be a starter when the 2022 season gets underway.
