1. No Taysom Hill
After showing up to the first two days of practice despite dealing with a Lisfranc injury this offseason, Taysom Hill was sitting out on Friday. This, of course, worried some fans initially but Dennis Allen made sure to note that it was due to the offensive weapon getting hit in the ribs the day before.
That hit forced Hill to exit the second day of practice early and he sat out on Friday as a precautionary thing. With the team getting a day off on Sunday, it wouldn’t be shocking to see Hill out for Saturday’s practice and maybe for a few days after that.
There’s no real benefit to putting Hill out there if he’s experiencing any sort of discomfort so he should take the time he needs to heal from this. He might not be taking snaps at quarterback this year but we’ve seen just how much better the offense is when Hill is lining up at different positions so having him as healthy as possible is very important.
Let’s hope that Hill recovers quickly and we see him back out on the field in the coming weeks.
