Saints’ Takeaway No. 3: Michael Thomas is back
We’ve waited nearly two years for this.
Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas stepped onto the field on Wednesday, and while he may not be “better than ever” he certainly looked the part of a healthy wideout.
Thomas didn’t appear to have any limitations and participated in all activities except for the full-team sessions. It’s huge news and a huge boost to team morale to see No. 13 back in the fold.

So good to see Michael Thomas back on the field.

It's a great day for him, the Saints and their fans.
Thomas also has a bone to pick with anyone who’s underestimating him this season and expressed optimism about his recovery on Twitter:

Thomas got in reps with Jameis Winston as the two connected on several throws, and looking back now, that whole ghosting incident from last year seems so far away in the rearview mirror. Make no mistake, Thomas still has work to do to get himself in optimal shape for the season, but the team couldn’t have asked for a better re-introduction.
Dennis Allen said he thought Thomas “looked good” and Thomas himself said it was a blessing to be back out there and was “ready to help DA win some games.”
Comeback season, here we go.
