Tight End

While Adam Trautman and Taysom Hill are making the team, we don’t know which one of them will for sure be the starting option. Trautman is the favorite and this is very much the final season for him to prove he can be a franchise tight end. Hill might still be used in his offensive weapon role but if he shows out enough at tight end this summer, maybe he can edge out Trautman for the starting gig.

As for the rest of the position, there are a lot of bodies competing for one or maybe two spots on the roster. Nick Vannett is probably going to win the TE3 job but if the Saints carry four tight ends, Juwan Johnson could also make the team.

The other names at tight end include Brandon Dillon, J.P. Holtz, and UDFA Lucas Krull. It’s going to take a massive summer from any of these three gentlemen to make the team but it’s not an impossible feat by any means.

This is probably the weakest spot on the team but maybe we’ll see some flashes from some unexpected players leading up to the regular season.
