4. J.P. Holtz

While J.P. Holtz does have more NFL catches and yards than Brandon Dillon, that’s not saying much. He’s spent the majority of his career with the Bears and that’s the only team where he caught any passes sent his way. He has seven career receptions for 91 yards.

Holtz joined the Saints earlier this summer and with the lack of playing time so far in his career, a practice squad spot seems more in the cards for him than a roster spot. Crazier things have happened though.

3. Lucas Krull

Lucas Krull is one of the many undrafted free agents who joined the Saints this offseason that fans are excited about. Krull played at Pittsburgh and he was one of Kenny Pickett’s favorite weapons on offense last season.

The tight end finished his final year with the Panthers tallying 451 yards and six touchdowns and averaging 11.9 yards per catch. He was quite the weapon for the Panthers last year but he’s going to have to show a lot more if he wants to stick on the NOLA roster.

Krull has a better chance than Dillon and Holtz to make the team as the TE3 but it’s still going to be a tall task for him to do so.
