1. New WR trio

The wide receivers on the Saints roster last year left a lot to be desired, as Marquez Callaway was the team’s WR1 throughout the season. While he and Deonte Harty did well in their WR1/2 roles, they shouldn’t be starting at the position and the offense clearly struggled without having Michael Thomas or any other starting caliber receivers.

Well, not only is Thomas set to return from injury this year but New Orleans added two other receivers to their roster. First, they traded up from pick No. 16 to pick No. 11 to draft Chris Olave out of Ohio State. A few weeks later, they signed Jarvis Landry to a one-year deal.

The Saints went from their likely starting WR group this year being Thomas, Callaway, and Tre’Quan Smith to Thomas, Olave, and Landry. That’s a tremendous upgrade and will give Jameis Winston the weapons he didn’t have during his first year as a starter in New Orleans.

These receivers will also give Saints fans a big reason to be excited for what this season has in store for us.
