Third-Stringers if they’re lucky
8. Kevin White
7. Dai’Jean Dixon
The next two on the list could crack the roster but if they do, it won’t be as anything more than a third-string option. Some might be surprised to see me list Dixon so high on account of him going undrafted and playing for small school Nicholls State.
Unlike Shahid, however, Dixon put up nice numbers in college. This past year he finished with 1,002 yards and seven trips into the end zone. He could absolutely be a weapon in this offense if given the opportunity.
As for White, he had one prolific season at West Virginia that led to him being a top 10 pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. Injuries kept White off the field during his Bears tenure and this past year with the Saints looked to be the final chance for him to stick with an NFL roster. White had just one catch for 38 yards and struggled with drops.
White is someone whose roster spot isn’t a lock and one of the four people from the first slide could easily steal his spot.
