The New Orleans Saints had an impressive offseason and one of their best moves was signing Jarvis Landry. His contract is the best on the team.

The New Orleans Saints needed to upgrade their wide receiver this offseason and they did just that with the addition of Jarvis Landry. The former second-round pick out of LSU spent the first four years of his career with the Dolphins and then the past four years with the Browns.

He signed with the Saints this offseason after the Browns released him and Landry immediately makes the NOLA offense better. He didn’t have a good quarterback situation in Cleveland last year, which impacted his stats but he still had 570 yards through 12 starts.

New Orleans is happy to welcome Landry back to his home state and not only did they get a baller for their offense, but they also got him on a bargain deal. He’s on a one-year deal worth $3 million. That is one hell of a bargain.

Brad Spielberger of Pro Football Focus chose one player with the best contract from every NFC team and Landry was who he selected for the Saints. He offered this analysis:

"Landry represents a great value within a new-look Saints wide receiver trio, and he could get back to the market and cash in once more with a productive season in the Big Easy."

Signing Landry to a one-year deal was smart because it means New Orleans gets him for this year and he’ll be set up to sign a bigger deal next offseason if he plays well.

New Orleans Saints got Jarvis Landry for a bargain.

Landry joining the team gives the Saints a great wide receiver trio, as he’s joining Michael Thomas and Chris Olave. It’s been a long time since the black and gold have had a WR trio this good and it should give Jameis Winston plenty of weapons for the 2022 season.
