Return Specialists: Deonte Harty

Other Options: Easop Winston

The prime return man for the New Orleans Saints, whether it be returning kickoffs or punts, will be Deonte Harty. That’s been where the man has put on his best performances and what he was brought in to do.

Last year, however, due to the lack of receiver options for the quarterbacks, Harty moved into more of a receiver role though he still was able to shine as a return specialist. He’ll transition more into his original role and will be the main man doing damage on special teams.

Another option should Harty need a break or not be available for other reasons is Easop Winston, who played his college ball at Washington State. Winston appeared in three games for New Orleans last year and returned 10 punts during that time so he does have experience in doing so.

This should be what the special teams unit looks like when the Saints get their 2022 season underway.
