7. Daryl Williams, OT

Sticking with the offensive line, Daryl Williams is still waiting to be signed in free agency. The former fourth-round pick out of Oklahoma spent five years in Carolina and then played in Buffalo for the past two years.

Throughout his career, Williams has played mostly right tackle but he has had some experience on the left side of the line and at guard as well. Considering that New Orleans has one of the best right tackles in the league in Ryan Ramczyk and that Williams is probably a fringe starter, signing him might not make the most sense.

Verdict: Not a fit

6. Rob Gronkowski, TE

We all know that if Rob Gronkowski does opt to return for a 12th NFL season that it’ll be with his buddy Tom Brady in Tampa Bay. As of now, Gronk hasn’t made a decision if he wants to come back but if he does, that’s where he’ll go.

Even with that being the case, Gronk would definitely be a fit for the Saints. They don’t have a true starter at tight end right now and it’ll likely be Taysom Hill and Adam Trautman battling it out for that honor. Gronkowski is better than either of those guys but yeah, he wouldn’t come to New Orleans and have to play his BFF twice a year. No way.

Verdict: Potential fit but never going to happen
