Starting RDT: Shy Tuttle

Reserves: Malcolm Roach, Jordan Jackson, Josh Black

As is the trend with a lot of the names on here, Shy Tuttle is going to be a free agent next year. Tuttle joined the team as an undrafted free agent in 2019 and has worked his way into a starting role. Last year, Tuttle had 48 tackles with three of those coming for lost yardage.

Directly behind Tuttle on the depth chart is Malcolm Roach, who joined the team as an undrafted free agent in 2020 and had 16 tackles as a rookie that year. He continued to be a nice depth piece for the team in 2021, notching 10 tackles in seven games.

New Orleans spent a sixth-round pick on Jordan Jackson out of Air Force in this year’s draft. Jackson had six sacks this past year and 11 tackles for loss during his final year with the Air Force and should be an interesting addition to this defensive line.

Josh Black recently joined the Saints as a free agent. He went undrafted out of Syracuse and will have to put together an impressive training camp to find his way onto the roster.
