This selection to some may be considered overkill as the Saints now have Michael Thomas, Chris Olave, and Jarvis Landry in their wide receiver room. The question to try and answer, however, is can a team ever have enough pass-catchers?

The Saints were ranked 28th in the league in total offense in 2021. The ineptitude of the wide receiver room last season has surely scared members of the Who Dat Nation for life. Bringing in Odell Beckham Jr. would be the chef’s kiss on the brilliant Saints offseason.

Beckham is one of the best receivers in the NFL. The numbers and eye-popping moments speak for themselves. The Saints were one of the teams that were interested in Beckham after he was released by the Cleveland Browns last season.

Ultimately he decided to sign with the Los Angeles Rams and went on to win a Super Bowl title but not before tearing his ACL. The injury could keep him on the sideline until as early as November, per Draft Kings. The good news is the Saints could be able to wait on OBJ until he is 100 percent. They already have some guys that could hold down the fort until Beckham could play.

Getting Beckham back in the middle of the season when the Saints could be fighting for playoff positioning could help out tremendously. He’d be another all-around receiver to make life better for Jameis Winston.

Landry, Beckham’s former college and pro teammate has already been lobbying for OBJ to sign with the Saints. Beckham is a New Orleans native and would be a fan favorite in his home city.
