Third-Stringers: Kevin White, Dai’Jean Dixon, Rashid Shaheed

Third and fourth-stringers are where things get interesting and I decided to put stock into the two UDFA wide receivers because this team finds value in their UDFAs. Marquez Callaway and Deonte Harty both went undrafted and have made names for themselves in New Orleans.

Kevin White is in the completely opposite situation, however. After one spectacular season at West Virginia, White went seventh overall in the 2014 NFL Draft and failed to live up to those expectations. Injuries were to blame for that but White is definitely one of the biggest draft busts in Bears’ history.

Last season was White’s last chance to try and make it in the NFL and he had one catch for 38 yards in six games with the Saints. He had some bad drops and isn’t a lock to make the team in 2022 but I put him as a third-stringer because the organization seems to like him.

The other two names here are both UDFAs.

Dai’Jean Dixon played at Nicholls State, amassing 71 catches for 1,002 yards and eight touchdowns this past season, per the Colonels’ athletics website.

Rashid Shaheed is a product of Weber State football and totaled 39 catches for 696 yards and four touchdowns, per Weber State’s website. He also made a name for himself as a return specialist, which should help him push to make the 53-man roster.

These two UDFAs have to put together impressive performances this summer to make the roster but it’s certainly possible for both of them to work their way up the depth chart.
