When the New Orleans Saints have a running back like Alvin Kamara, do they really need to invest in quality reinforcements?

Yes, especially since Kamara could face a suspension after being arrested in Las Vegas.

The Alvin Kamara-Mark Ingram reunion of 2021 warmed fans hearts everywhere, but Ingram may not have the chops to assume RB1 duties during the season. Behind Ingram, NOLA has special teams studs in Tony Jones Jr. and Dwayne Washington along with unproven talent in Josh Adams and Abram Smith.

The Saints have been on the prowl for a reliable running back after the draft, most recently swinging and missing on Sony Michel. Plenty of quality free options remain, though, and we handpicked three of the most talented backs who can handle the workload.

All three ball-carriers are under the age of 30 and could land in New Orleans for different reasons, but each player could make an immediate impact in the Saints’ rushing game.

Here are three free agent running backs the NOLA Saints can still sign this offseason.
