3. Bolstering defensive line with Kentavius Street

A big strength for the Saints last season was their defensive line, which they continued to improve this offseason. Kentavius Street was one of the first moves the team made in free agency and immediately what fans remembered about him was that he was responsible for breaking Drew Brees’ ribs during the 2020 season.

That’s not exactly a great thing to be remembered for in New Orleans. Aside from that, Street is a welcomed addition to a defensive line that will have yet another strong reinforcement for the 2022 season.

Street recorded three sacks and 5 QB hits during his third season and that intensity is something that will make this defense even stronger. Why aren’t people talking about it and continuing to link the team to defensive linemen?

Perhaps the fact that both Marcus Davenport and David Onyemata are entering the final year of their contracts is a reason for that. Even still, Street continues to make the Saints D-line one of the best in the league and it’ll be fun to see him rotate in with these other great players.
