Saints Mock Draft: NOLA makes a blockbuster trade to grab franchise QB
Round 3: Pick 103 – Wan’Dale Robinson, WR (Kentucky)
As mentioned earlier, the Saints garnered an extra third-round pick with their trade in the second round. They go ahead and double up on wide receivers with this selection, making Wan’Dale Robinson their second receiver chosen in this draft.
Robinson initially played at Nebraska for two years but then transferred to Kentucky for the 2021 season where he didn’t disappoint. The Wildcat would have been Sean Payton’s dream weapon had he not stepped away, as Robinson can do damage both on the ground and through the air.
Robinson had over 100 catches this year while racking up 1,334 yards and seven touchdowns while tallying over 100 yards on the ground. The Saints would love to have an offensive weapon like Robinson to add to their struggling unit and he’d immediately be put to work.
If the Saints are able to move back one spot in the second round and then add someone like Robinson with their additional third-rounder, that’d be a great result for them.
This was a pretty trade-heavy draft and New Orleans might have to be aggressive with this draft, especially if they want to get a franchise quarterback to help them down the road.
