New Orleans Saints RB depth chart ahead of 2022 NFL Draft
FB: Adam Prentice
Since I’m not planning on doing a separate post to cover the fullback position in New Orleans, I figured I’d include Adam Prentice on this list. Prentice was signed last summer and ended up finding his way onto the 53-man roster.
An undrafted product out of South Carolina, Prentice found his way to the Big Easy last summer and, as mentioned, did see some playing time for the black and gold.
The Gamecock product appeared in seven games last season and made three starts at fullback. He didn’t do much but that’s not uncommon for fullbacks. Prentice had three catches for 16 yards and rushed the ball three times for five yards.
Since fullback isn’t a position that gets much attention these days, don’t be surprised if Prentice is the starting fullback for New Orleans again in 2022. If the team finds someone they like more this offseason, then maybe we’ll get a fullback camp battle.
