Still Listed as QB: Taysom Hill

I’m including Taysom Hill here because he’s still listed as a quarterback on the team’s official roster. Sean Payton made sure to get his guy paid before he stepped away from coaching so the Saints are tied to Hill for at least another two years before they can get out of his contract.

The contract is a bit misleading though, as Hill is paid based on what position he plays. Allen mentioned that Hill will no longer be used as a quarterback and more as a tight end, but that he’ll still be utilized as an offensive weapon.

This is the best possible role for Hill, as he’s shown he’s at his best when he can be let loose and either run with the ball or as a pass-catcher.

Unless Hill occasionally steps in as a quarterback on a few plays here and there, he won’t be throwing the ball much for the Saints anymore and that’s probably for the best.
