1. Eric Fisher

I discussed Duane Brown as a possible left tackle option for the Saints earlier but a more dependable one is Eric Fisher. The former No. 1 overall pick spent eight years with the Chiefs before playing last year with the Colts and now is still waiting to sign with a team for the 2022 season.

The Saints could make a lot of sense for Fisher, as he’s an experienced left tackle and that’s the very position NOLA needs to address before the season gets underway. James Hurst isn’t a bad option but Fisher would give them a more stable option at the position.

PFF gave Fisher a grade of 68.2 last year and noted that the Central Michigan product was responsible for seven sacks and also had eight penalties during the 2021 season. He might have been propped up by a very good Colts offensive line but even still, he held his own in Indy and could blend in well in the Big Easy.

If the Saints were to sign Fisher in free agency, they might still want to find a left tackle in the draft but he’d at least give them a better starting option than what they have right now.
