The New Orleans Saints desperately missed these four players during the 2021 season and fortunately, they’ll have them in the black and gold for the upcoming season.

Despite finishing the 2021 season with a winning record, it was hard not to feel like had the New Orleans Saints had a fairly healthy roster that they could have made the playoffs. They’re entering a tough situation in 2022 with Sean Payton no longer leading the charge and losing key players such as Terron Armstead and Marcus Williams.

Fortunately, these four players returning will help the Saints this year. Maybe these players didn’t miss the entire 2021 campaign but losing them definitely hurt.

We’ll start with someone that a lot of fans might have forgotten about.

4. Tanoh Kpassagnon

The Saints inked Tanoh Kpassagnon to a contract last offseason and he made a nice impact in the defense during his inaugural year in New Orleans. Unfortunately, Kpassagnon was only able to appear in eight games in 2021 due to injury.

He made the most of those eight games, however, totaling 18 tackles, eight QB hits, four sacks, two defended passes, and one forced fumble. He really packed a punch on the defensive side of the ball and it’ll be nice to have him back in 2022.

The hope is that Kpassagnon picks up where he left off in 2021 and can be another rotational monster for this Saints defense. He’ll be a great addition to have back when the 2022 Saints take the field.
