The Draft Network has Jameson Williams as the best wide receiver in the 2022 NFL Draft and that’s why he’s making an appearance on this list. There are plenty of talented receivers in this year’s draft and now that the Saints have Jameis Winston, they don’t need to spend their first-round pick on a quarterback.

If the Saints want to get arguably the best receiver in the draft, they could make the decision to trade up for Williams and add him to this hopefully improving offense. Williams might slide a bit due to the injury he sustained in the National Championship game back in January so that could help NOLA be the team to land him.

Williams had an incredible 2021 campaign at Alabama, which was the only season he played as a member of the Crimson Tide. He previously played at Ohio State in 2019 and 2020 but didn’t see much playing time. He showed that he could be a WR1 in an offense this past year, grabbing 79 catches for 1,572 yards and 15 touchdowns through 15 games.

There’s no doubt that New Orleans could use Williams in their offense and if he’s still on the board after the top 15 picks, the Saints might decide to trade up for him. This all hinges on what other receivers are on the board though because NOLA might not go wrong with any of them.
